Amir Khan and Floyd Mayweather fight could still happen this year, says Khan's trainer
AMIR KHAN's trainer Virgil Hunter believes his man could still face Floyd Mayweather this year.
"Fighting and sparring two months after a cut like that can open it back up."
However,
the potential fight between the two has been made more complicated by
the fact Mayweather split with Khan's promoters Golden Boy yesterday.
Golden
Boy chief executive Richard Schaefer quit the company on Monday and
Mayweather will no longer work alongside them in promoting his own
fights.
Khan and Mayweather still share the same adviser -Al
Haymon - and the British former world champion will be hoping the
American businessman can strike a deal for the fight.
