The Colombian dynamo was signed by Jose Mourinho to help Chelsea conquer the Premier League, but the 26-year-old is more interested in conquering the English language first.
The Sun claim Cuadrado and Howe have been exchanging private messages via Instagram, with the famous twin ready to undertake a new role as teacher.

A Chelsea spokesman was less than enamoured with the reports, and told The Sun: "The club will be providing English lessons for him."
Howe is said to have learned Spanish during a trip to LA, and is more than capable of conducting lessons with the £26.8m signing.
The Sun claim the 24-year-old model has previous with Premier League footballers, and is alleged to have had romantic connections to Juventus star Patrice Evra and Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw.

THERE won’t be many things Brendan Rodgers and Siegfried and Roy have in common.

But one thing the Liverpool boss and the Las Vegas entertainers do is trying to tame something that simply does not want to be told what to do.
Siegfried and Roy trained tigers for a famous show at the Mirage in the capital of gambling that drew in millions over a decade ago.
But it all came to an end when one tiger took a chunk out of Roy Horn’s throat and almost killed him back in 2003 live on stage.
Kop boss Rodgers’ life is certainly not on the line, but trying to keep Mario Balotelli in check has been a right pain in his neck.

      

The manic striker caused yet another stir on Thursday night when he took the ball from stand-in skipper Jordan Henderson for their late penalty against Besiktas in the Europa League last-32 clash.
Balotelli calmly slotted home the winner as the whole of Anfield watched from behind their fingers.
Rodgers insisted there was no issue after the game, but skipper Steven Gerrard’s claim from the punditry box made it clear that team orders were broken by the Italian.
Gerrard insisted Henderson should have been the penalty taker and Balotelli was again the centre of attention not only for his winning goal.
Henderson was the designated spot-kick taker for the game, he was the one who got the ball, he wanted to step up.

    

But Balotelli does not play by the rules, or orders from above on this occasion.
Rodgers reckoned he could tame the former AC Milan striker when he spent £16m on him in the summer as he searched desperately for a front man.
But many believed he bit off more than he could chew as he struggled with form on the pitch and rumblings of off-field issues would not go away.
Siegfried and Roy called a halt to their show when an untameable tiger tucked in, but even they could not help bringing “Mantecore” back for a swansong show some years later.
Balotelli’s Liverpool career looked over until recently when Rodgers turned to him once more as just like the Vegas duo, the Kop boss wanted to gamble again.

 FOOTIE legend David Beckham has marked 10 years of campaigning for Unicef by launching his own children’s charity.

      

And the superstar revealed he will tour war zones with his four kids in tow in a bid to show them ‘real life’ as he raises cash and awareness.
His eldest sons Brooklyn, 15, and Romeo, 12, could visit some of the world’s most dangerous countries as part of the new Seven campaign.
Becks told the Daily Star: “The children will be getting involved because I’m going to make them.
“But they are excited about that.
“They know exactly what I’m announcing today and what needs to be done.”
The 39-year-old revealed he had never sugar-coated the suffering he saw when he discussed previous Unicef trips with his children.
His new fund, named after his lucky football shirt number, will focus on helping seven countries including Burkina Faso, El Salvador and Papua New Guinea.
David added: “Romeo and Brooklyn are old enough to understand what’s going on in the world and how they can help.
“Brooklyn only said to me on the school run this morning ‘I want to go on a trip, when can I go on a trip?’ So they understand it, they respect it, they get it.”
The sportsman said he always takes photos on his travels to explain his charity work to younger kids Cruz, nine, and Harper, three.

    

His campaign was inspired by a visit to the scene of Typhoon Haiyan, which left 1.3 million children homeless in the Philippines and killed thousands more.
David said: “You don’t really experience devastation until you’re on the ground, until you’re actually in the place where it’s happened.
“The Philippines, it was two and a half months after the Typhoon so it was so fresh, people were still scared, devastated, had lost family members.
“I saw a father stood at a grave and there was 11 family members that he’d lost. You can see the grief, it’s horrendous. It really is terrible.

The retired England legend has also been to South Africa and Sierra Leone as a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador.
Last night he vowed to work with Unicef for at least another decade, calling 7: The David Beckham Unicef Fund a ‘high point’ of his career.

   

David said: “My fame, my success that I had on the field, opens doors for exactly things like this - the protection of children, the protection of women.”
He added: “When people turn around to me and say ‘what’s the great thing about being David Beckham’, it’s exactly this situation.”

   

The Nigeria topflight league is billed to commence in the first week of March according to the League Management Company

The League Management Company has fixed March 7, 2015 as the date for the commencement of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for the 2014/2015 season.
The LMC recently gave two options of January 21 and March 7 for the start of hostilities and circulars were sent to various clubs for them to choose the more preferred of both dates but the league body has opted for the latter with a fresh date for the start of the 2015 general elections being fingered as the brain behind the new development.
Owing to this, the LMC has announced a registration deadline of February 20 for clubs to submit their licensing documents for the new season or risks severe sanctions.

The documents expected to be submitted by the 20 clubs in the top flight include proof of no debts carried over, financial guarantee and medical passport of players.

The LMC Chief Operating Officer (COO) Salihu Abubakar announced this and said the clubs have been put on the alert that mid-week fixtures will hold to accommodate the socio-political developments in the country.

“As part of the registration process for the new season, Clubs are to mandatorily provide a quarterly Financial Performance Guarantee of N50m which is a condition for licensing to participate in the league. Clubs that are in a position to provide a one-off Performance Guarantee of N200m is also encouraged to do so”, Abubakar stated.

The league organizer further disclosed that clubs in the elite division must provide their  Financial Performance Guarantee on or before March 5, if they are to be considered among the 20 to vie for points.
Kano Pillars are the defending champions of the league and they have emerged victorious since the last three seasons while Enyimba and Warri Wolves came second and third last season.

CARDIFF have admitted defeat in their bid to bring back ex-NHL star Paul Bissonette.

     

Player-boss Andrew Lord has been in regular contact with the winger who played 10 games for the Devils during the 2012 NHL lock-out.

But he is now ready to see out their title challenge with his current squad.

Bissonnette, 29, has now signed a deal to stay at American Hockey League Manchester Monarchs - the Los Angeles Kings' major farm team - until the end of the season after a successful try out.

Lord said: "I was in contact with him every week or so, just checking in to see what the chances were.We were hoping but we knew what he could bring to that organisation. Hopefully down the road we can sign him again."
Even though the Devils face a gruelling six games in nine days, starting at Edinburgh on Friday, Lord said: "We are really happy with the guys on and off the ice.
"Everyone has got the same values which makes for a good mix and we want to upset that."
The Welsh side still have a chance of the treble.
They are only six points off the top of the Elite League, face lowly Coventry in the Challenge Cup semi-final and are on course for the play-offs.

* HULL'S play-off hopes have been boosted after doctors told skipper Matty Davies he will be able to play again next month.
Davies, 24, injured his knee last week and said: "I thought my season was over. It is always worse when it first happens, what with the inflammation and the pain.
"It is looking like early March when I can hopefully be back."
Player-boss Omar Pacha added: "That was unexpected and huge news for us."

TIGER WOODS used to be the most thrilling superstar in the world of sport.

    

Watching him on a golf course was on a par with seeing Mike Tyson in a boxing ring, Usain Bolt tearing down the running track or Michael Jordan dominating a basketball court.
In other words, it took your breath away.
These days, as Woods approaches his 40th birthday, people are still gasping at him - but for all the wrong reasons.
That's because the former world No.1 has suffered a fall from grace so sudden and shocking that it might just turn out to be one of the most infamous stories in sporting history.
Woods is just 38, but is staring at the genuine prospect that his career could be over, when he should be in his prime.
He hasn't won a major title since 2008 and his golf swing has deteriorated so badly that there are now genuine fears he will never win another tournament again, let alone one of huge significance.
In Phoenix last week I watched Woods attempt to compete in the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale.
It was hist first PGA tournament for almost six months, during which time he had supposed to have remodelled his swing and overcome fitness problems.
But his comeback lasted just two rounds as he failed to make the cut and shot the worst score of his professional career. An 82.
The numbers didn't stack up for Woods, but it was the manner of his shock exit that stunned onlookers the most.
That's because someone who took the game to a whole new level with shots of breathtaking skill and audacity, who won tournaments for fun and changed the face of golf forever, resembled a hacker struggling to get round his local course.
Woods failed to hit fairways and greens, producing a series of chips that someone playing off a handicap of 12 would make.
If that wasn't bad enough, Woods then moved on to Torrey Pines, the Californian course where he won the US Open in 08 with a broken leg, and withdrew after 11 holes of similar sub-standard golf with a bad back.
How has it come to this? How can someone so good become so bad?
He was once superhuman, capable of the impossible. His behaviour away from the course might have left much to be desired, but on it he had no equal. No one came remotely close.

 

Thibaut Courtois could be lining up for Real Madrid next season with the Spanish giants said to be lining up a deal for Chelsea’s No.1.
According to reports in Spain,it suggested the Los Galaticos are lining up a summer bid for the Blues’ Belgium shot-stopper.
Courtois, who rose to success with Madrid rivals Atletico, has becomes first-choice since returning from a loan spell with the La Liga outfit this season – with such performances not going unnoticed over at the Bernabeu.
With Iker Casillas making another howler during the 4-0 drubbing at Atletico at the weekend, the Italian may well want to put a fresh pair of hand between the posts.
And although Chelsea will not want to part with a prized asset, a swap deal involving target Raphael Varane has not been ruled out.

     

Starsport revealed in November that the Atletico Madrid boss was being lined up by City.

And it is understood that senior figures at the club have been in touch with the Argentine about potentially replacing Pellegrini.

Pellegrini faces a fight to save his job as City's season threatens to slip away from them.

The Premier League champions have fallen seven points behind leaders and face an uphill struggle to retain their title.

To make matters worse Pellegrini's men have crashed out of both domestic cup competitions as a result of shock home defeats.

Pellegrini has managed to lead City into the knockout stages of the Champions League despite being drawn in a group of death alongside Bayern Munich, Roma and CSKA Moscow.

But it now looks like Pellegrini will have to land the biggest club prize of all if he is to avoid the sack at the end of the season.
Chairman Khaldoon-Al-Mubarak set Pellegrini a target of winning five trophies in five seasons when he appointed him Roberto Mancini's successor.
While the former Real Madrid boss landed two in his first season in charge, he is not expected to survive a campaign without adding at least one more piece of silverware to his collection.
Owner Sheikh Mansour is not afraid to wield the axe and has made Simeone his No.1 choice to replace Pellegrini if he decides to make a change.
It is understood the billionaire believes Simeone has better credentials when it comes to winning the Champions League.

Simeone has emerged as one of the most sought-after bosses in Europe following his impressive exploits at Atletico.

RING king Manny Pacquiao has told Bolton’s Amir Khan “I’ll fight you if Floyd Mayweather Jr is afraid to face me”.

     

The former sparring partners met at London’s famous Fitzroy Lodge Boxing Club and had a chat about a possible fight this summer.
Pacquiao – who also had dinner with Prince Harry on Thursday night – has agreed to face Mayweather on May 2, but the American has yet to put pen to paper on a contract.
The Filipino puncher is growing increasingly frustrated by Mayweather’s delaying tactics on the super fight which was due to be held in Las Vegas.
He has now started considering other options including facing Khan at Wembley Stadium or in America, most likely Las Vegas.
Abu Dhabi was also mooted as a possible venue by the British fighter although that is not believed to be a feasible option at this time.
The pair posed for pictures in London after Khan arrived at the famous gym in a Rolls Royce and dressed in an extravagant suit.
They had a brief chat and renewed their friendship after sharing Freddie Roach’s gym in LA for a number of years before Khan left to team up with California-based trainer Virgil Hunter.

     

Bolton's Khan, 28, also wanted to face Mayweather, but the American faced Marcos Maidana last May when he looked like he would face the Brit.
He hoped back-to-back wins over tough welterweights Luis Collazo and Devon Alexander in 2014 would secure the money-spinning clash .
But Khan has been left frustrated again this year with Pacquiao apparently set to step in for the fight that the sport has been waiting on for more than six years.
Pacquiao, 36, has won world titles in eight different divisions and although he is past his peak, boxing fans were keen to see him face Mayweather.
He agreed to all the demands put forward by the undefeated American’s team.
But he is still waiting on Mayweather to sign his contract as talk of a rematch between the pound-for-pound king and Miguel Cotto grows.
For any fight to take place between Khan and Pacquiao it would take discussions between the Brit’s adviser Al Haymon and Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who looks after the Filipino ring king.

 

Owen Hargreaves doesn't believe that Manchester United should be looking to sign Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund this summer and should concentrate their efforts on going after someone in the mould of ex-captain Nemanja Vidic instead.

The Old Trafford club have been linked with a move for the German World Cup winner for several months, with many fans and pundits seeing him as the solution to all of Louis van Gaal's problems.

However, Hargreaves, who was a Champions League winner with United in 2008, doesn't think things are quite so clear cut.

"He's the captain of Borussia Dortmund, they're last in the Bundesliga. Is that the measuring stick for Manchester United? I'm not so sure."

   


In a Cote d’Ivoire shirt, Wilfried Bony hasn’t been particularly prolific.
He may have racked up enough goals at club level with Vitesse and Swansea City to persuade English Premier League champions Manchester City to part with €35 million, but a return of 11 in 36 international fixtures had left many in his homeland feeling short-changed.
He failed to score in any of the three nip-and-tuck group fixtures which saw the Elephants scrape through to the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. That stretched his scoreless streak in his nation’s orange colours to six matches.
But against Algeria on Sunday, Bony netted only his second double for Cote d’Ivoire in a 3-1 win to seal a semi-final against DR Congo. His return to scoring form couldn’t have been better timed.
Billed as a clash of the two favourites – of the overwhelming underachievers of the Afcon – it summed up the countries’ wider reputations in the competition that one entered the match as runners-up in their group, the other having squeezed through with a single win.
As a contest, it was everything it was expected to be, but Bony proved to be the difference.
In the build-up to the tournament many had questioned whether Africa had the kind of talent that could push Yaya Toure for future Caf Player of the Year crowns after he won a record fourth successive trophy.

 
Yet a combination of the Manchester City midfielder’s listlessness in Equatorial Guinea and his new club-mate’s timely double suggests that the African public may review their rankings in the near future.
While Cote d’Ivoire largely deserved their win – they were bigger, stronger and, for long spells, simply better – they wouldn’t have managed it but for Bony.
First, he nodded home Max Gradel’s excellent cross midway through the opening period only to see it cancelled out by a comedy piece of defending by Kolo Toure and more notably Max Bailly, which led to Hilal Soudani equalising.
Soudani could have given Algeria the lead soon afterwards but was denied by a wonderful save from Sylvain Gbohouo, and within minutes Bony was at it again. Yaya Toure, with his first memorable moment of the tournament, fired over a pinpoint free-kick from the right and the former Swansea man headed superbly home.
The Elephants’ defence showed signs of crumbling once more late on but just about held it together before Gervinho clinched the win in injury-time. Difficulties in their rearguard signifies that they shouldn’t be considered champions elect just yet, as if they haven’t given enough examples in tournaments past as to why nothing should be taken for granted.
But Cote d’Ivoire are in a fourth semi-final in six attempts, and have a €35m striker back in goalscoring form. Watch out, Africa.

   

Nigeria U-20 forward Taiwo Awoniyi has emerged as the Most Valuable Player of the 2015 Super Four tournament and was rewarded with N200,000 by the League Management Company after helping the Flying Eagles to victory.
Awoniyi pipped the highest goals scorer of the tournament, Christian Obiozor of Kano Pillars whose sublime goals were the highlights of Sai Masugida outing at the pre season tournament to the award.
The Kalmar of Sweden striker scored two goals and provided several assists in his side’s romp to success in the Super Four as his side won four out of the five games played during the competition.
Awoniyi will be hoping to repeat his sterling performance in the 2015 African Youth Championship where Manu Garba’s lads are Nigeria placed in Group A alongside hosts Senegal,Congo and Cote d'Ivoire and will be hoping to emerge champions as well as secure a place in the Fifa World Youth Championship billed for New Zealand.

   

Diego Simeone, in a recent interview, says he would reject all the money in the world if it meant coaching Real Madrid, but his son Giovanni Simeone hinted that his father doesn’t feel that way a certain Italian team.

Giovanni told Italian daily La Gazzetta dell Sport, as quoted by ​AS, that his father has a special place in his heart for Serie A, in particular, the one and only Inter Milan.




  

AMIR KHAN will target a slot on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas on May 2 if the mega-fight is announced this week.

     

Talks for the biggest fight in decades and the richest in boxing history are going well and Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum expects an announcement confirming details in days.

He said: "Everything is moving in the right direction."

Khan, 28, has been calling on American Mayweather to fight him for two years - but once again the Briton looks to have missed out.
Khan met Pac Man, 36, in London two weeks ago about fighting him on May 30 if neither ended up fighting Mayweather, who turns 38 this month.
Attempts to make Mayweather-Pacquiao failed in Christmas 2009 due to a disagreement over drug testing.
But Arum says a deal is now close for the $300million welterweight scrap at the MGM Grand between Mayweather and Pacquiao.

CHELSEA could be in danger of losing Eden Hazard to either Real Madrid or PSG this summer after talks over a new long-term contract stalled.

       

According to reports, the Belgium international could leave the Blues at the end of the season despite manager Jose Mourinho revealing in December that his star player was close to committing his future on a five-year deal.
Hazard, who currently earns £175,000-a-week on a contract which expires in 2017, is looking to become the club's best-paid player after taking the Premier League by storm following his £32million move from Lille in 2012.
Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas are Chelsea's highest earners on £200,000-a-week, but Hazard wants to move into the same bracket as other Premier League super-stars such as Sergio Aguero, Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney, with the latter raking in an astonishing weekly wage of around £300,000

The attacker's demands have subsequently put Real Madrid and PSG on alert, with both clubs keen to add him to their hugely-talented squads.
However, a move to the French capital looks unlikely unless Laurent Blanc manages to offload the likes of Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi this summer, but a big-money switch to Madrid has already been mooted by the Los Blancos hierarchy.
The futures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are in doubt, with both linked with returns to the Premier League, and Carlo Ancelotti has earmarked Hazard and Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus as potential replacements.
Despite the rumours of an exit, Hazard wants to remain at Chelsea, and Mourinho will now press the club to make the winger their most highly-valued player as he looks to lead the Blues to victory over Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.

CHELSEA are plotting a sensational double swoop for West Ham's Enner Valencia and Shakhtar Donetsk's Douglas Costa as they close in on the signing of Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombia international is expected to be unveiled as Jose Mourinho's latest signing later today after the Blues agreed to meet his £26.8million release clause.
Misfit winger Mohamed Salah will ship out to Florence on an 18-month loan as part of the deal, whilst Andre Schurrle is on the brink of joining Kevin De Bruyne at Wolfsburg in a £22m switch.
And according to reports, Mourinho is not yet finished in this month's transfer market as he looks to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title.

        

Top of the Portuguese tactician's shopping list is Valencia, who has been a revelation after signing for the Hammers last summer.
The forward is capable of playing either as a striker or out on the wing, and Mourinho is ready to meet Sam Allardyce's £20m valuation.
Another player on the Chelsea radar is Costa, who is keen to join former team-mate Willian at Stamford Bridge.
The tricky playmaker would also command a transfer fee of £20m, and could be set to arrive in west London for a medical as early as this evening.
