Chelsea lose key man and drop Kevin de Bruyne ahead of definitive Bucharest battle
CHELSEA have announced Kevin de Bruyne hasn't been included in the team
for the club's all important clash against Steaua Bucharest on Tuesday
night.
Eden Hazard will also take no part in the Blues' battle in Romania, after confirming he's suffered an injury.
A
statement on the official website read: "Eden Hazard, Marco van Ginkel
and Kevin De Bruyne are the three players missing from the squad list
for the competition announced at the beginning of the month.
"Hazard joins Van Ginkel on the injured list while De Bruyne is not selected."
Striker Fernando Torres was included despite facing a domestic ban
following his dismissal and altercation with Jan Vertonghen in
Saturday's draw at Tottenham.
Chelsea will hope for a change in fortunes, following their loss to Basle of Switzerland in the first round of matches.
Squad:
Cech, Ivanovic, Cole, Luiz, Ramires, Lampard, Torres, Mata, Oscar,
Mikel, Schurrle, Ba, Willian, Schwarzer, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta,
Eto'o, Bertrand, Blackman.
