WRESTLING is back as an Olympic sport for the 2020 and 2024 Games.

The sport beat bids from squash and baseball/ softball to win a vote by International Olympic Committee members.
Wrestling, dropped from the programme by the IOC’s executive board in February, launched a major reform programme which paid off with victory
in the first round of voting.
It polled 49 votes with squash getting 22, two behind baseball/softball. The sport is very popular in Japan.
Tokyo won the vote to stage the 2020 games on Saturday.
