European Round Up: Bayern Munich Equal Record Of 36 League Matches Without Defeat

DFL RULES TO LIMIT THE ONLINE USAGE DURING MATCH TIME TO 15 PICTURES PER MATCH
Bayern Munich equalled the record for the longest unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga when they beat Hoffenheim 2-1 for their 36th match without defeat. 



Dortmund also won behind Robert Lewnadowski's hat trick 6-1. In Spain Lionel Messi failed to score for the fourth match in a row but Alexis Sanchez did score the only goal as they overcame Espanyol 1-0. Gareth Bale added two assists as Real Madrid won 3-2 and the potent strikeforce of David Villa and Diego Costa both notched as Atletico remain hot on the heels of the leaders. In Serie A Roma's 10 game win streak came to an end as they were held by Torino but Napoli gained ground by beating Catania 2-1. Finally in France PSG extended their unbeaten run to 23 matches as they beat Lorient 4-0 but Monaco fell to their first defeat of the season losing to Lille 2-0.

A fine week for Gareth Bale ended with two assists as Real Madrid held on to beat Rayo Vallecano 3-2. Cristiano Ronaldo with a brace and Karim Benzema put Real 3-0 before two penalties from Viera Ramos left the visitors hanging on. Barcelona struggled again but did enough to beat Espanyol 1-0 with a goal from Alexis Sanchez after 68 minutes. Atletico Madrid continued to stay in touch with the leaders as goals from David Villa and another from Diego Costa were enough to see off Athletic Club.

Bayern Munich recovered from falling behind to a Niklas Sule goal to beat Hoffenheim 2-1. Mario Mandzukic and Thomas Muller completed the comeback as they equalled the record with their 36th league match without defeat. Robert Lewandowski completed an 18 minute hat trick as they thumped VFB Stuttgart 6-1. Karim Haggui scored for the visitors before Sokratis Papastathopoulos equalised. Marco Reus put them ahead before Lewandowski's hat trick made it 5. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finished the rout.

Roma's ten match winning streak came to an end as they drew 1-1 with Torino. Kevin Strootman put the visitors ahead but Allesio Cerci scored his eighth goal of the season to give the side from Turin a point. Napoli remain in second beating Catania 2-1 with goals from Jose Callejon and Marek Hamsik whilst a solitary goal from Paul Pogba saw off Parma 1-0 to keep the "old lady" in third place.

PSG were without Zlatan Ibrahimovic but it didnt matter as Edinson Cavani scored twice as they easily defeated Lorient 4-0. In the big match third placed Lille took on previously unbeaten Monaco but two goals from Nolan Roux ended that run and moved Lille into second, two points behind the leaders.
