Chelsea and Barcelona have reportedly agreed a fee of £32 million to take Blues centre-half David Luiz to the Camp Nou this summer, according to reports in the Star.

Although the deal has not yet been confirmed by either club, several reports say a deal is close, making the Brazilian Chelsea's first player out of the door this summer.

Jose Mourinho's side have already agreed a £32 million fee to sign Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa next month and it appears the Blues will recoup all of that amount as they let Luiz go to Spain - a move to Barcelona for the player has been mooted for several months.

Reports in Brazil state that Luiz has agreed to join Barcelona on a five-year-contract and an official announcement of the deal will be made after this summer's World Cup, which is being held in Brazil.

Luiz has struggled to play regularly in the first team and Jose Mourinho has tended to play him in midfield, as opposed to centre-half, when he does start because of the excellent form of John Terry and Gary Cahill at the heart of the defence. There is still uncertainty over the future of Terry himself, but he is expected to be offered a new deal this summer to keep him at the club for at least another season.
