It’s official! This Thursday lunchtime, Marc-André ter Stegen put pen to paper to sign a contract with FC Barcelona
for the next five seasons. The now former Borussia Mönchengladbach
keeper, born April 30, 1992, arrived just after noon at El Prat Airport,
from where he was transferred directly to the Camp Nou.

ter Stegen is officially an FC Barcelona goalkeeper. After impressing
so much for Borussia in his home city of Mönchengladbach, he has joined
the Liga giants. Today he appeared in his first press conference and
started with an apology. "I don’t speak very good Spanish yet, let alone
Catalan" he said. But judging by the surprisingly confident way that he
delivered those words in Spanish, it won’t be long before he does.

Ter Stegen is here! The German keeper has arrived in Barcelona for a
day he is surely never going to forget. Joined by family and friends,
his flight landed at El Prat Airport at 12.15, from where he was
transferred directly to the Camp Nou to sign his contract as an FC
Barcelona player, to appear on the pitch and to be presented as the
first new signing for the 2014/15 season.

Mönchengladbach he has played alongside several players that have gone
on to become big names at other clubs, including Brazil’s Dante (Bayern)
and Germany’s Reus (Dortmund). He also played with Álvaro Domínguez and

Enrique’s first day as FC Barcelona’s manager was very, very intense.
The Asturian returned to the Club’s offices to sign his two-year
contract and be officially presented as the team’s coach. The manager
was accompanied by his coaching staff and by members of the Board of
Directors, who also guided the new cadre of managers to the first team’s
dressing room in the Camp Nou.
