Having been powerless to stop his star striker leaving for Munich, Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is now in the hunt for a fresh striker, with Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku seen as a possible candidate.

The young Belgian recently scored a hat-trick for his national side, and helped himself to 18 goals whilst on loan at Everton, yet has struggled for a number of seasons to break Chelsea's first team.

The raw talent, who has been likened to club legend, Didier Drogba, has since been shifted to a string of Premier League" class="culinks" lang="en">Premier League sides in the hopes of aiding his development. Whilst the 21-year-old has showcased his Premier League credentials, Mourinho may sell in order of securing the finances for more tried and tested centre forwards.

With Diego Costa apparently set for Stamford Bridge, the Belgian's dream of the Chelsea number nine position may have crumbled before it even started.

If Lukaku leaves, he will have to accept his Chelsea romance ended in bitter disappointment, with a failed spot kick against Bayern Munich in the Super Cup. Only time will tell, but the Belgian's insistence on being Chelsea's main striker may seriously be hindered by the acquisition of the La Liga winning Spaniard, a striker all Chelsea fans are waiting with bated breath to see.
