Real Madrid's La Décima triumph against local rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening will mean that the club will spend over €30 Million in bonuses to be divided among players, coaches and other employees. The total figure also includes payment of win clauses in the transfers of several players.

Madrid broadsheet El Confidencial reports that their tenth European Cup win means that each player will receive a €600,000 bonus for winning the tournament, whilst even workers at the club who are not members of the playing staff will be rewarded handsomely too.

The decision to give out the bonuses was made by former Real players Fernando Hierro and Raul, who were both members of the 2002 squad which last won the Champions League for the club. Both are former captains of the side.

The story also claims that the win means that Tottenham will receive around €5 million, as part of the deal that took Gareth Bale to the Bernabeu last summer in a world record transfer deal. It is thought that they will also receive a payment for Luka Modric, who arrived from Spurs in the summer before Bale left White Hart Lane.

The Champions League bonuses are worth around ten times more than the Copa del Rey payment made to the Real Madrid players after they won the competition earlier this season, with this figure in the region of €60,000.
