Daniel Sturridge was named Barclays Premier Player of the Month for February, after a fantastic month for the Liverpool striker.

The former Manchester City and Chelsea striker has came of age and has been in scintillating goalscoring form. So much so that Sturridge is now creeping up to Luis Suarez's goal tally for the season.

Sturridge started off the month of February by netting the only goal for the Reds at the Hawthorns.

Sturridge continued his fine form by putting Arsenal to the sword during the Reds' famous 5-1 demolition at Anfield. A constant threat throughout the game, his goal gave the Reds a comfortable 4-0 in the first-half lead.

Sturridge carried on his form in the vital away clash against Fulham. With the Reds 1-0 down, Sturridge equalised after a fantastic through ball from Steven Gerrard. Sturridge went on to play an even bigger part than his first strike - assisting Coutinho for the midfielder's equalising goal and then winning the decisive penalty for Steven Gerrard to tuck away.

February was wrapped up in style by Sturridge as he was his usual brilliant self against Swansea. Exciting and electric throughout, the former Chelsea man opened the scoring after three minutes against the Swans. In-turn he became only the second player in Premier League history to score in eight successive games, Ruud van Nistelrooy being the other.

He then assisted Jordan Henderson for Liverpool's second goal, after some fine individual play down the flank. Sturridge popped up with another goal as he headed home a Luis Suarez cross.
