Nigeria Supporters club president in Brazil to mobilize fans for the World Cup
President of the Nigeria Supporters club, Rafiu Ladipo has already departed for Brazil to mobilize support for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Ladipo alongside the Secretary General of the club, Samuel Ikpea
travelled to Brazil on Thursday to officially inaugurate a branch of the
club in the South American nation.
The President of the Supporters club noted that out of more than 1000
seats allocated to Nigeria by FIFA, only 400 has been taken by
Nigerians, which informed the mobilization move to fill up the spaces
left.
“The Supporters club is embarking on the mobilization to enable
Nigerians living in Brazil know the need to support the Super Eagles
during the World Cup," Ladipo said in Lagos.
“It is unfortunate that only 400 seats out of more than 1000 seats
allocated to Nigeria by FIFA have been booked by Nigerians and 300 of
these seats were booked by members of the club which necessitated our
embarking on the mobilization.”
