The FA Cup draw took place today and produced some mouthwatering potential clashes in the next round.

Should Liverpool defeat Arsenal in the fifth round this afternoon they will go on to play Roberto Martinez's men in a Merseyside derby. The Toffees were defeated earlier in January at Anfield as they were mauled by Brendan Rodgers' men 4-0.

In other clashes there may be a momentous derby between both Sheffield clubs. Nottingham Forest may prevent Sheffield United from progressing however, while Sheffield Wednesday are to play Charlton after their game was postponed yesterday.

Manchester City will take on the side they were beaten by at Wembley in May - Wigan Athletic. Wigan's Ben Watson defeated the Citizens in May with a bullet header and it was his goal yesterday which secured the win against Cardiff to send them through to the quarter-finals.

Brighton & Hove Albion will have a home tie against Gus Poyet's men. The Uruguayan travels to his former club for the first time since his infamous sacking.
