Arsenal legend launches stunning attack on Man Utd… and backs Chelsea for title charge
ARSENAL legend Emmanuel Petit has launched a blistering attack on Manchester United.
He's blasted David Moyes for his poor tactics and claims they are ALREADY out of the title race.
Petit, who won the Premier League with the Gunners in 1998, said: "I think Manchester United have dropped too many points. They are missing a balance in their team.
"I am still questioning why they are playing Wayne Rooney in midfield - and why they are still playing with two holding midfielders.
"Manchester United have enough power to impose their strengths on opponents.
"David Moyes is a very good manager but there will be more and more pressure on him. He needs wins and the next two league games are massively important. After those they have Arsenal at home.
"There will be a lot more pressure when they play Arsenal if they haven't won those two [against Stoke and Fulham]."
"It's between Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City," said Petit.
"Liverpool's first XI is very good. The season will be long and they are not playing Champions League games but the fact is they are a little bit outnumbered, especially if Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge or Steven Gerrard get injured.
"Chelsea can challenge, definitely. It will be a perfect return for Jose Mourinho if they win the Premier League."
Emmanuel Petit was talking to the Daily Star on behalf of Capital One, the credit card company and sponsors of The League Cup. Round 4 of the Capital One Cup takes place from October 29.
