Greyhound Racing: Lump on Exocet
THERE is no opposing the missile that is Exocet (9.24) at Hove tonight – live on RPGTV.
Controversially withdrawn after posting one of the fastest times ever in the heats of the Sussex Cup in July, the electric son of Head Bound has since changed hands.
Chris Allsopp’s dog faces some quality opponents in the final heat of the Coral Olympic but is one of the hottest properties on the four-bend scene right now and is not for opposing from a good draw in six.
Many will be sweet on the chances of Yarmouth Derby third Bridge Honcho in heat three given his consistent batch of form figures and that he runs the galloping track so well.
That said, JAYTEE JULES (9.06), out of luck in the C&D Brighton Belle final but otherwise is in outstanding form. Paul Young’s bitch warmed up for the event with a stylish victory albeit against routine opposition last week and is taken to get first run.

The Young kennel play a strong hand in the second heat too. It would be no surprise to see his Bubbly Phoenix bounce back to top form but he has had numerous problems off the track and almost has to prove himself again.
On that basis, it is kennel mate JAYTEE LIGHTNING (8.50) that gets the vote. Boasting a near-50 per cent strike rate, he is another that runs the Sussex track well and can exploit a favourable inside sit.
After a hugely pleasing Wimbledon trial, there will be those that expected powerhouse Droopys Ed Moses to have taken his chance in the St Leger (starts Saturday), but instead he lines up in the opening heat. He will be flashing home but is vulnerable to something that stays.
Step up DINNER HUNTER (8.34). The stand-out race is the sprint for which favourite Sidaz Scotty could be up against with the talented CAPE IMPACT (8.02).
