Manchester United could be ready to attempt a sensational January move. Sports Direct News is claiming that United could be lining up a move for Napoli star Marek Hamsik.

After United's slow start to the season, David Moyes has been given the green light to make up for the club's summer transfer woes and splash the cash in January. 

With several holes in the team-sheet in desperate need of a boost, the 26-year old midfielder could provide Moyes's midfield with the attacking flair that they have been missing all season. 

Former Chelsea and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has praised Hamsek since making the move to Napoli this past summer. The Serie A outfit's captain continued his impressive form from last campaign, where he scored 11 goals and notched 17 assists, as he has his side off to an impressive start, winning six out of the side's first eight league games.

In desperate need of creativity, the fiery Italian would certainly boost a midfield side that has lacked consistency in the early part of the season. However, Hamsik has just signed on a new deal with the Italian side and it could take a reported fee of £30 million to lure the Slovakia international to Old Trafford.
