Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea Set to Compete for Hellas Verona's Jorginho in January
Hellas Verona's Jorginho is currently one
of the most sought after young players in the Serie A and the likes of
Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea may all make a move for him when the
winter transfer window re-opens.
Jorginho's recent run of fine form has been the main reason to this sudden level of interest in the 21-year old, with scouts from both Arsenal and Chelsea present in Italy last weekend, according to the Daily Star. The young talent certainly did not harm his reputation, scoring two goals to help his side record a win over Parma, which lifts Verona to fourth in the table.
The Brazilian born midfielder has now scored five goals in eight Serie A appearances, which has seen newly promoted Hellas Verona reach the dizzy heights of a Champions League place.
Liverpool tried to snare Jorginho over the summer but a move never really happened, to the disappointment of Brendan Rogers. The North Irish manager could be even more annoyed if the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea also join the Reds in the battle to sign the Italian under-21 international in January.
Jorginho has stated that he is happy in Italy, however, if a bid were to be accepted by a top Premier League club, it would be hard to say no for the ambitious 21-year old.
