German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are monitoring the availability of Kevin De Bruyne and Shinji Kagawa, of Chelsea and Manchester United respectively, and are ready to make moves for both players if the opportunity arises in January.

The news of Wolfsburg's interest, as reported by Sky Sports, came from the club's sporting director, who said that "at Werder, I have seen just how good de Bruyne is, and at Dortmund we have seen how well Kagawa can do, if such players are possible, you of course think about them."

Kevin De Bruyne signed for the Blues last summer, but spent the duration of the season with Werder Bremen, where he excelled in the Bundelsiga, scoring 10 and assisting nine, becoming one of the league's stand out performers.

However, Jose Mourinho has sparsely used the Belgian winger and with the likes of Andre Schurrle, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard standing ahead of him, it does not look like there will be much playing time in the months to come.

The same can be said for Shinji Kagawa, who has also had a limited role in the Premier League this season. The Japanese playmaker, who rose to prominence with Borussia Dortmund, may be looking to leave Old Trafford if his situation doesn't improve.
