Week 11 of the EPL Club news.

 

1. Arsenal

Arsene Wenger could see his hard working midfield linchpin return to the starting XI as Mathieu Flamini looks to have recovered from a groin injury that sidelined him for several matches.

The French manager is unlikely to make many changes to his squad after the midweek Champions League victory over Dortmund.

Jack Wilshere remains a doubt with an ankle problem while Theo Walcott, Yaya Sanogo, Lukas Podolski, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diabyremain out.

2. Aston Villa

Paul Lambert Continues to juggle injuries to his squad as Andreas Weimann, Antonio Luna, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Joe Bennett will all be sidelined for the mid table clash with Cardiff on Saturday.

Weimann and Luna suffered hamstring injuries while Agbonlahor and Bennett recover from ankle and back injuries respectively.

3. Cardiff City

After picking up an impressive victory in the first ever Premier League Welsh derby last weekend, Malky Mackay will have a fully fit squad to chose from when his side travel to Villa Park on Saturday.

Summer signing Andreas Cornelius remains the only long term absentee keeping Mackay from a squad with a clean bill of health. 

4. Chelsea

After being dropped for Wednesday's Champions League victory over Schalke for missing a training session, Eden Hazard will return to contention to face West Brom on Satruday.

Samuel Eto'o will likely feature as the lone striker as Fernando Torres will likely be out until after the international break. 

5. Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace will be without midfielder Adlene Guedioura who has been sidelined at least six weeks after suffering a partially collapsed lung and two broken ribs from a collision with West Brom goalkeeper Boaz Myhill last weekend.

Jonny Williams and Paddy McCarthy are edging closer to return, but Glenn Murray and Jack Hunt remain long-term absentees.

6. Everton

The Toffees saw Summer signing Arouna Kone undergo a knee operation this week that could keep him out for the rest of the season.

Darron Gibson remains Roberto Martinez's only other injury concern as the midfielder is a long term absentee after tearing a cruciate ligament.

Antolin Alcaraz is eyeing a return to the first team after a slow recovery from hernia and hamstring issues. 

7. Fulham

Martin Jol will have a host of injuries and suspensions to deal with when setting his squad to face Liverpool.

Right-back Sascha Riether will begin serving his three match ban after retroactively being charged with violent conduct for the incident involving Adnan Januzaj.

Jol will also assess Brede Hangeland and Bryan Ruiz ahead of the fixture.

Hugo Rodellega and Matthew Briggs will be missing with injuries for the next  four to five weeks.

8. Hull City

Steve Bruce has had to juggle injuries in the early part of this season as his side look to establish themselves in their promotion season to the Premier League. His job did not get an easier this week as a he saw striker Sone Aluko sidelined long term with an achilles tear.

Robbie Brady is a doubt for the clash with Southampton as he has not fully recovered from his recent hernia operation.

James Chester and Allan McGregor remain sidelined, meanwhile Abdoulaye Faye and Alex Bruce are fit to return to contention. Danny Graham will also return after missing out last weekend against parent club Sunderland. 

9. Liverpool

After missing the last three weeks with a knee injury, Jose Enrique has returned to training and could be back in contention for Brendan Rodgers side when they take on Fulham this Satruday.

Fellow full-back Glen Johnson is fit to return after missing out in the defeat to Arsenal with illness. 

10. Manchester City

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has been ruled out for the Sunday match against Premier League strugglers Cardiff. The centre-back has been dealing with a groin injury.

He will be joined by and David Silva who recovers from a calf injury. Meanwhile Fernandinho and Matija Nastasic picked up knocks in the midweek Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow and remain a doubt.

However, Manuel Pellegrini could see the return of Javi Garcia who will undergo a late fitness test before the match. 

11. Manchetser United

Robin van Persie is expected to resume his place in David Moyes starting XI for the clash between Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal.

The Dutch striker featured from the bench in the midweek Champions League fixture against Real Sociedad after recovering from an injury.

Danny Welbeck, Michael Carrick, Jonny Evans and Rafael will all be assessed before the match. 

12. Newcastle

Newcastle skipper Fabricio Coloccini could be set to return to Alan Pardew's starting XI after being sidelined for the last four matches with a groin injury.

Midfielder Cheick Tiote was thought to be a doubt after limping of against Chelsea with a muscle strain, but it appears he is expected to be fit for the match.

Steven Taylor remains sidelined with a hamstring problem and will not return until after the international break. 

13. Norwich City

Robert Snodgrass could be available for Norwich City's clash with West Ham in the late match on Saturday. The midfielder suffered a concussion against Manchester United last month, but could be back in contention for Chris Hughton.

However, the under fire Canaries boss will likely be without Nathan Redmond who is a doubt with a hip problem.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel remains sidelined with a foot injury, while Alexander Tettey and Elliott Bennett are both long-term absentees. 

14. Southampton

Mauricio Pochettino could welcome back summer signing Dani Osvaldo to his squad as they face Hull on Saturday. The striker has missed out in recent weeks with a nerve issue and will be assessed before the match.

However, Guly do Prado underwent a knee operation and has been ruled out for the rest of 2013.

15. Stoke

Mark Hughes will assess Glenn Whelan and Jon Walters ahead of this weekend's clash with Swansea. The pair returned to training this week and could be back in contention.

However, Erik Pieters is likely to miss out with a back niggle. 

16. Sunderland

Gus Poyet will be without Lee Cattermole and Andrea Dossena after the duo was sent off last weekend.

However, Keiren Westwood is expected to be back between the sticks after being left out of the Capital One Cup squad with a concussion.

Wes Brown will be pushing for his first Premier League start in 22 months, while Ondrej Celustka is fit and could join the Black Cats backline. 

17. Swansea

Michael Laudrup learned this week that star playmaker Michu has knee and ankle problems that could sideline him for a month.

The Danish manager will also see Gerhard Tremmel between the sticks as Michel Vorm was sent off in the Wales derby last weekend.

Jonjo Shelvey is expected to return to the starting XI after being absent from the midweek Europa Leage draw against Kuban Krasnodar due to personal reasons.

18. Tottenham

After a controversial week surrounding his decision to keep goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in the match against Everton despite being knocked unconscious, Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed the Frenchman will resume his place in the starting XI.

AVB is also expected to recall a number of players who were rested for the clubs midweek 2-1 Europa League win over Sheriff. However, Danny Rose, Sandro, Zeki Fryers, and Emmanuel Adebayor are all likely to miss out.

19. West Brom

Steve Clarke will see a boost to his strike force as Victor Anichebe returns to contention after recovering from a hamstring injury.

However, the Baggies will likely be without Nicolas Anelka, and Scott Sinclair as the pair remain a doubt after suffering groin and hamstring injuries respectively.

Billy Jones, Zoltan Gera and Ben Foster will be absent from the side as well. 

20. West Ham

The centre-half injured his ankle in training and will not be fit in time.

Fellow centre-back James Collins will be available after recovering from a niggle.

The Hammers will be without Andy Carroll, Mladen Petric, Alou Diarra, Matthew Taylor and George McCartney.
