Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has indicated he would be willing to join Liverpool.

The Nigerian midfielder has impressed so far this season in the Serie A and a report in the Metro suggests that Liverpool scouts watched on as the 20-year old impressed once again against Italy on Monday night.

Onazi took part in the international friendly which ended 2-2 and the man who is dubbed the next Jay Jay Okocha has said he would be willing to move to Anfield.

‘I would jump at the chance to play in the Premier League,’ said Onazi.

‘Liverpool? They are a huge team and are attractive to any footballer. I could see myself playing for them.’

The midfielder revealed he would be happy to move to England in the January transfer window. Lazio would require a fee believed to be £6 million for Onazi's services. With the Nigerian box-to-box midfielder at the mere age of 20, Brendan Rodgers could be tempted to part with his cash.

Liverpool are struggling in the middle of the park with Steven Gerrard still carrying the team at the age of 33-years old. Jordan Henderson and Coutinho are the other bright sparks, but Joe Allen and Luis Alberto have yet to provide a creative spark at Anfield.
