Murray in the running for Sports Personality of the Year awar

    ODDS-ON favourite Andy Murray leads the nominations for the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year after his memorable Wimbledon win.

     Andy Murray, BBC, Sports Personality of the Year, Wimbledon win, Ben Ainslie, Ian Bell, Hannah Cockroft, Mo Farah, Chris Froome, Leigh Halfpenny, AP McCoy, Christine Ohuruogu, Justin Rose, winner, December 15th

The other nominees are: Ben Ainslie, Ian Bell, Hannah Cockroft, Mo Farah, Chris Froome, Leigh Halfpenny, AP McCoy, Christine Ohuruogu and Justin Rose.
The winner will be announced on December 15, when 26-year-old Murray (above) is due to be at his winter training camp in Florida.
