Swedish Under-17 international Valmir Berisha has been making a name for himself following his seven goals scored in the 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup. The 17-year old striker has been linked with a host of sides around Europe as a result of his international showings, and could be leaving his current club, Swedish league side, Halmstad.

Reports in the Metro believe, Liverpool, Tottenham and Sunderland are all vying for the youngster, but they could face stiff competition from top clubs around Europe. Valmir revealed he has piqued the interest of several clubs as he said;

‘I have got offers from everywhere. There are some options. The clubs who have shown the biggest interest are Ajax, Milan, Liverpool, Sunderland, Tottenham and Celtic. They have all offered me contracts. But it is a matter of choosing the right one, that is the most important. I want to join a club who need a striker.’

Berisha’s age would suggest he’d have to bide his time before forcing his way into the first-team of a Premier League side, but his goalscoring record does suggest he has a bright future ahead of him. Scoring another seven goals in 13 Under-19 Allsvenskan South games and one in the Under-21 development league has taken his tally to 15 for the campaign.

Despite a number of big clubs interested in procuring his signature, Berisha added how he doesn’t think he’ll join a big club immediately as he doesn’t want to spend extended time in the reserves, not getting games at a level that can help his development.
