Ryan Giggs will make his 955th appearance for Manchester United tonight - two days before he turns 40.
MirrorFootball has learned of David Moyes' team selection - as yet unconfirmed - which will see the Welshman partner Phil Jones in central midfield against Bayer Leverkusen in the BayArena.
With Robin van Perise out injured, Wayne Rooney will lead the United attack, with Shinji Kagawa behind him, and Antonio Valencia and Nani in the wide roles.
In defence, Chris Smalling starts at right-back, with Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans in the centre, Patrice Evra at right-back and David De Gea in goal.
A win for United will see them through to the last 16, while a draw will see Moyes' side and Leverkusen through, if Shakhtar lose at home to Real Sociedad
