Foster controversially jumped in to stop his bout with three-time world champ Froch on Saturday in the ninth round.

Froch landed a couple of heavy blows but Groves was still defending himself - and still fighting back.

Groves said: "I am more angry [now] to be honest.

"At the time you call it how you feel because you haven't had time to watch it back.

"Since I watched it back it's a disgraceful decision by the referee.

   

"He clearly got carried away by the hype.

"For the first time Carl Froch landed more than the odd shot, the referee jumped in. It's sickening."

Devastated Groves is now calling for a rematch for the WBA and IBF super-middleweight titles.

He said: "I ended his [Froch's] career. He's got two options now: a rematch with me or retire.

"No British fan will accept any less."
