Arsenal and Chelsea target Karim Benzema hits back at Real Madrid critics

ARSENAL and Chelsea target Karim Benzema has responded to criticism over his perceived slow start to the new campaign.
Benzema revealed after Madrid's 4-0 Champions League victory over FC Copenhagen that he was ready to prove his critics wrong.
“I have got the message from the fans,” he said.
“I
respect their opinion. I have felt comfortable in the field. Ancelotti
has told me that I have to enjoy myself in the field so as to perform
well.

“Our fans are very demanding with us, but I understand them. We have
to keep working and improving so that we can achieve our objectives.
“Physically I am fine.”
Chelsea
boss Jose Mourinho is weighing up a January bid to rival Arsenal in the
race to sign the 25-year-old as he looks to bolster his lacklustre
strike force.
Arsene Wenger failed in his attempts to bring
Benzema to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but is likely to renew
his interest in the frontman when the transfer window reopens.
Benzema is contracted at the Bernabeu until 2015 and Madrid would still command a large fee.
