Britain’s newly-crowned world champion has already told his support crew that he wants them all back again next year.

He’ll keep manager Peter Adams, engine tuner Peter Johns and his mechanics on board.He said: “I know a lot of people who want to jump on board now I’m No.1, but I’m not changing anything.

“I’ve got a close-knit team and I’ll keep the same team next year.

“Everybody has seen what I’ve done this year to make stuff happen. I’m expecting them to work hard, and that just means I’ll work twice as hard.”
