Schweinsteiger & Gotze recalled to Germany squad

The Bayern Munich duo have been called up by Joachim Low after missing
the previous internationals through injury, but Stefan Kiessling and
Roman Weidenfeller miss out again
Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mario Gotze have been called up to Joachim Low's Germany squad for the final two World Cup qualifiers.
The Bayern Munich duo missed the previous games against Austria and
Faroe Islands due to respective ankle problems, but have earned a recall
for the games against Republic of Ireland and Sweden after returning to
full fitness.
Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling has once more
been overlooked despite a shortage of attackers at Low's disposal.
With Miroslav Klose and Mario Gomez both injured, last season's top
goalscorer in the Bundesliga had been tipped for his first call-up since
2010, but Max Kruse of Borussia Monchengladbach is the sole striker to
be included in the squad, with Hoffenheim's Kevin Volland also missing
out.
Hamburg's Marcell Jansen replaces injured Borussia Dortmund defender
Marcel Schmelzer, while Marco Reus is also included after struggling
with illness for the games last month, but club team-mate Roman
Weidenfeller is again left out.
A win against Republic of Ireland on October 11 would guarantee Low's men their place at next summer's World Cup.
