Leading Light is shining bright in the run up to Arc de Triomphe race
AIDAN O’BRIEN, seeking a second success in Sunday’s Arc de Triomphe, has
supplemented his smart St Leger winner Leading Light for the race.
“Obviously
we’ll get closer to the weekend before knowing about ground conditions
because Camelot would only run if it was good or better.
“Leading Light obviously hasn’t done a lot but everything he’s done we’ve been happy with.”
Roger Charlton’s Al Kazeem also remains on target for Europe’s premier prize after pleasing in a workout over the weekend.
“Although
Al Kazeem has had some tough races and on ground faster than he would
have preferred, from what I can see he still retains his enthusiasm,”
said Charlton.
“It is never an exact science to know whether a
horse has gone over the top or is about to produce another high-class
performance but the vibes are good.”
Al Kazeem is 14-1 with
Ladbrokes. Orfevre, the best-backed horse in the race, heads the market
at 2-1 with Treve 4-1, Novellist 6-1, Kizuna 8-1, Flintshire 9-1,
Intello and Ruler Of The World 10-1 with Leading Light trading at 12-1.
